How does it work?

How does the booking process work? It's very simple.

  1. discuss our plans and choose a date, location and time.
  2. we sign a photo agreement which will be sent to your email.
  3. you send the retainer. the booking is now confirmed!

What's next after I book?

  1. for sessions I'll follow up with you 1-2 days before our session to chat about little details such as instructions on where to meet and what to expect. For weddings, we can either do a phone call, FaceTime or google meet and talk about anything we need to catch each other up on. These calls are done closer to your wedding date, 1-2 months prior.
  2. It's the big day!
  3. Your gallery will be emailed to you and you can download all your images! Sessions will usually take 4-5 weeks to receive, and full wedding galleries will usually take approximately 8-10 weeks on average to receive.

FAQ

when will I receive my photos?

Average turnaround time for 1 hour sessions is 4-5 weeks. Average turnaround time for full wedding galleries is 8-10 weeks. Galleries from October- April usually will take more towards the longer end since it's peak wedding season here! I edit each gallery in extreme detail and very intentionally, I promise it'll be worth the wait!

how do I know my photos will be safe?

I use a camera that has a dual card slot. This means that every photo that is taken is being simultaneously recorded onto two sd cards at once. If one sd card were to go corrupt, chances are that your images are still safe because they are recorded to a second card. Additionally, every photo taken is backed up onto an external SSD. No photos are deleted from the cards or SSD until the full gallery is delivered, and your gallery is downloaded so I know that you are satisfied.

what is a second photographer?

This is someone who helps assist me throughout the day and can capture different angles of a moment at once! For example, If I am standing near the front of the ceremony facing the guests, the second shooter can be standing behind the guests. We can capture one moment from two different perspectives, and multiple moments happening at once.

how do I book?

you can contact me through the "contact" tab. To confirm the booking, I will email you a photo agreement we will both sign, and I will take a retainer. Once those are both completed the booking will be confirmed. Retainers for sessions are normally $100, and wedding retainers are approximately 35 % of the total balance. Retainers for out of state sessions may be closer to 40%, to include enough to cover the traveling expenses.

when should I be booking?

if you have a deadline you need your photos by, I would recommend that you book a day that is at least 6 weeks before your deadline. This will ensure that you have more than enough time to receive your images with no rush.

what if your camera stops working at our wedding?

I come to every wedding and session with a backup camera just incase of an unpredictable technical difficulty. I always bring extra camera batteries, chargers, and sd cards so I can be prepared for any technical difficulties.

what do I wear to my session?

I highly recommend to stick to neutral colors! I can give recommendations based on what location we're doing because some colors look better than others based on location. You can never go wrong with cream, beige, tan, or earthy tones. Avoid bold patterns as these can draw your eye to your clothing and take away focus from you!

Are you licensed & insured?

Yes! For weddings and events, let me know if your venue requires proof of insurance and I will email your venue a copy.
